Her essays have been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Jose Mercury News, and Medium among others, and her fiction has appeared in literary journals and anthologies, including the award-winning Borderlands 6: The Anthology of Imaginative Fiction.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Carol was President of Holding Associates/Brand Strategies for eighteen years, where, for the first time, she quantified the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on a corporate brand’s value.

Carol holds degrees from Smith College and Harvard University She draws inspiration from walking through the forests of Camano Island, and volunteering for Hugo House, Seattle’s literary center.
